TruSight is operated by Smitten Technologies (Delhi, India).
If you created an account, you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data held by us.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — From the app
Open Settings → Request account & data deletion (while signed in) to open this page or start a pre-filled email.
Option 2 — Email
Send an email to info@smitten.co.in from your registered email address.
If you signed in with a phone number only, include your full phone number in the message.
Subject line: `TruSight account deletion request`
Include:
- The email address or phone number used to sign in
- A brief statement that you want your account and personal data deleted
Option 3 — Web form
Visit https://smitten.co.in/data-deletion.
What we delete
After verifying your identity, we will delete or anonymize, where applicable:
- Your Firebase authentication account (or disable sign-in for your identifier)
- Backend profile data linked to your user ID
- Push / Live Activity device tokens linked to your account
- User-initiated shared check links associated with your account
- Short-lived Document Check / analysis job records we still hold that are linked to your account, where technically feasible
What we may retain
We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, including:
- Security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention records
- Limited server logs for a short retention period
- Information needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes
- Anonymized analysis cache entries (Truth Vault) that are not linked to your account (up to 30 days)
Truth Vault is an anonymized, content-keyed cache used for all users while the feature is active on our servers. Account deletion does not instantly erase those entries; they expire automatically after 30 days.
Submitted analysis content (including document and ID images) is generally processed to generate results and full raw submissions are not kept longer than needed for that purpose, except as described in our Privacy Policy for the anonymized result cache, share links, short-lived jobs, and legal retention.
Third-party providers
Document Check may send identifiers or images to third-party registry / verification APIs, OCR processors, AI models, or writing-detection services. Those providers may retain data under their policies. Account deletion with TruSight does not automatically delete copies held solely by those providers. Contact info@smitten.co.in and we will assist where our contracts allow.
Local data on your device
Deleting your account does not automatically remove:
- Analysis history stored on your device — clear it in Settings (storage / history controls)
- Encrypted backups in your iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) — delete those from your cloud account or Files app
Processing time
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
